No. Closing columbus day for the season
Its breakfast with a view.
Good food great people it's like having breakfast at home without the mess I go there every morning for coffee and breakfast
Hearty breakfast, reasonable prices, friendly waitstaff
What's in eggs here? No seriously this is such a good breakfast place. Nothing crazy on the menu just simple awesome food. Homemade hash was on point too.
Perfect spot if you’re looking for traditional diner fare on Block Island.. I took the family here yesterday morning for a quick breakfast before exploring the island.. We got a table on the back deck, overlooking the harbor where the kids could watch people arriving by ferry from Connecticut.. The service was great, the staff and customers polite, and the food hit our table 10 minutes after we ordered!! It’s definitely in the “greasy spoon” category, but if you know what to expect you won’t be disappointed.. Not super healthy, but the turkey bacon was a nice touch.. The kids swear they make “the best” blueberry pancakes, and I’ve got to say I wasn’t disappointed.. The only complaint I would offer is that the coffee was pretty bad.. Could’ve just been the bottom of the pot, but if I want a quality cup of coffee there’s always the coffee shop down the road.. All in all, Ernie’s was a great breakfast experience for the whole fam..
Great food and good views
Went there earlier this season and it wasn't very good but I gave it another shot and I'm glad I did. It's a good cheap breakfast joint
Horrible management and rude people
Typical American breakfast restaurant, but good deals and great service. My personal favorite is the Hungry Person Special, which is two pancakes, two eggs, toast, with bacon or sausage for just 13.80. Which is pretty cheap for the island!
service was horrible, we had to get our own silverware, napkins, etc. it took them more than ten minutes to get simple drinks such as coffee and water. someone in my party ordered a chocolate chip muffin and what he got was basically a brownie. another person in my party ordered banana pancakes and they put the black tip of the banana in the pancake. not coming here again.
Best blueberry pancakes!
My favorite breakfast location, for the view, as good as the food!
Best Place on Block Island for Breakfast! If you can seated on the outside even better. Staff are nice and very large portions for a great price.
Our favorite breakfast spot to come to on Block! Great food every time!!
This was the worst restaurant I've been to in a long time. Why? 1. The coffee was disgusting at a premium price of $2.75.2. My order was wrong and undercooked as was the other guest's with me3. The restaurant staff was rude, disrespectful and racist. Not only for I and my guest, but also for other guests coming in. The staff were reluctant to seat us in the front area (the only available seating), as well as a few other mixed couples. Additionally, the serving people would barely engage anyone who was not "white", and in the event they did, it was begrudging and rude.In summary: for the premium prices you pay on Block Island, save your money and go to a respectable establishment with better food and courtesy.
Great place for breakfast. They served our boy scout troop of 17 fast and very pleasant staff.
Delicious, hearty breakfast with views of the harbor and all at a good value.
Great food, nice employees, a cool place to go
Good laid back spot that hasn't changed much in the 15 years I've been eating breakfast here, and I mean that as a compliment. Watch the boats come into the harbor and take comfort in the fact that the world may be slipping into oblivion but Block island and Ernie's are a safe refuge.
Food is fantastic, staff is friendly and understanding, service was great.
Long wait at the door. No one attending to guests. When we were sat, very long wait until we saw a waitperson. The manager (owner?) was berating her staff from our table. When she stepped away, the waitstaff came to our table and used profane language toward the manager. The sanitation was questionable. Waitstaff set tables by touching the food side of all the utensils and served waters with wet hands holding the cups from the top. Food was prepared at a fairly reasonable speed. Final dishes were okay. What you’d expect from a short-order diner. My recommendation, skip breakfast and go to one of the nicer places for lunch.
Couldn't even cook two orders of over easy eggs correctly. Enough said.
Really good home-cooked-style food. Great GF options. I like the homemade hash and the Grilled Cheese Works. My pary ofonine loved their omelettes as well. Warm personal service and very fair price.
Simply not as good as I remember from previous years. Everything tasted old, undercooked, unseasoned. The homemade hash is basically raw potato shavings with bits of beef thrown in. This used to be one of our favorite places for a diner-style breakfast. The deck remains just as pretty as ever though.
Typical American breakfast. Good service.
We did have some trouble with allergies but the owner has since apologized and we don’t think it’ll happen again. We’ll be back next year it’s a great place
The most disorganized restaurant I have ever witnessed. Total chaos!
Good food, good service. Options to eat on deck or inside. Also take out service.
A good "diner like" breakfast. Not gourmet but consistently good.
Baby and
Good local breakfast spot.
Good breakfast food. Crowded
Typical breakfast only dinner, eggs, omelets, pancakes and home fries. Prices are in-line with the island and other places serving breakfast.
